Pani Puri

We need:

Puries 20
Onion 1/2 cup chopped

For the curry:


Dry chana
Potato 1
Green chillies 3
Cilantro 1/4 cup
Black salt 1/2 sp
Roasted jeera powder 1 sp
Roasted chilli powder 1sp
Tamrind pulp 1/4 sp
Garam masala 1/2 sp


For Pani:


Pani puri masala 2sps
Tamrind pulp 2ps
Roasted chilli powder 1/2 sp
Roasted jeera powder 1sp
Black salt 1sp
Ice cubes 5
Water 2 cup
Cilantro 1/4 cup


Method:


For curry:
Boil potato and mash it.
Soak chana over night and boil.
In a bowl add chana and potato. Add jeera powder, chilli powder,cilantro,black salt, garam masala,chopped green chllies and tamrind pulp.

For Pani:
In a bowl add water, tamrind pulp,pani puri masala,roasted chilli powder, cilantro and black salt.
Add ice cubes before serving.

Serving:


Take a puri and make a hole on the top.
Add one spoon of curry inside the puri and some chopped onion. Dip this poori in pani and serve.
This process needs to be done before serving. Because if u dip in pani and leave it for some time. It wont be good to eat.

Pani puri is one of my favourite snack. Used to have it atleast 4 times in a week when i was in Hyderabad.
After coming to USA, i missed the pani puri a lot.
That is when my neighbour and my best friend Sonali made this pani puri at home and i enjoyed eating it after a long time. Thanks Sonali one again for the recipe. But ofcourse i cant make as tasty as u used to make this.
