Stir Fried Broccoli

Broccoli is a edible green plant in the cabbage family whose large flowering head is eaten as vegetable. Broccoli has an impressive nutritional values. It is high in fiber, high in Vitamin C, A and B


6. It doesn't take much time to cook Broccoli, just steam it or roast with little salt and pepper or stir fry with garlic. Serve it with some baked or fried Chicken or fish, It  makes a perfect meal.  Tastes awesome when its cooked nice and tender, over cooked broccoli do not taste that great. 

Today for week 2,  day 3 of Blogging Marathon 96, you will be seeing a post about stir fried Broccoli with lots of Garlic. I have served it with some dal and roti for our dinner today. This recipes goes to my this week's theme- Easy dinner recipes.....





Ingredients:


Broccoli florets 2 cups
Garlic minced / chopped 2 tablespoons
Crushed red pepper 1 spoon
Salt to taste
Oil 2 Tablespoons



Preparation:


In a non stick skillet or flat pan add 2 spoons oil.
Once the oil is hot add chopped garlic and saute for few seconds.
Now add washed and chopped Broccoli florets.
Add salt to taste, cover with lid and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
Add crushed red pepper  and cook further for another 2-3 minutes on low-medium flame.
Cook till broccoli is nice and tender, do not cook till too soft.
Remove and serve hot with roti / baked chicken / fish / Meat.

Stir-fried broccoli is a nice and easy side dish to pair with roti or paratha. Super easy to make and very healthy dish.

Good one. My kids love broccoli and this is what they do when I am not at home. But I never made it for a formal meal.

This is my favorite way to eat broccoli. I can eat this all day long. Perfect side to serve for kids.
