Kairi Ka Raita / Raw Mango Raita

Kairi ka raita or raw mango raita is a delicious sauce / accomplishment made with raw mango and yogurt. It goes very well with pulao / Biryani  / parathas. Can be served as a dip too. This recipe goes to week 2 day 3 of Blogging Marathon 112 under the theme " Lets make some raitas".





Ingredients:


Raw mango grated 1 cup
Curd / Yogurt 2 cups
Green chili chopped 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Roasted Cumin powder 1/2 tsp


For Tempering:


Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 4
Udad dal 1/2 tsp
Oil 2 tsp


Preparation:


In a mixing bowl add curd and beat till nice and smooth.
Add grated mango, green chili, roasted cumin powder and salt to taste.
Mix well.
Lets prepare tempering by adding 2 spoons oil in a small pan.
Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, udad dal and curry leaves.
Saute till mustard seeds splutter.
Add the tempering to raita and mix.
Serve as it is or chilled.
