Shakarkandi ki Chaat / Sweet potato chaat

Shakarkandi or sweet potato has an amazing health benefits. It maintains  blood sugar levels, boosts

 immunity, prevents cancer. It contains  anti inflammatory activity, manages stress levels and

 improves hair and skin. Sweet potatoes are  also said to be good for digestion.


Shakarkandi chaat is a delicious sweet and tangy snack. It is a popular snack sold on the streets of

 Mumbai. It is a very simple and delicious recipe that can be made in just few minutes. Sending this

 recipe to Week 4 day 1 of  Blogging Marathon 121 under the theme " Street Food Special "





 Ingredients:


Sweet potato 2-3

Chaat masala 1/4 spoon

Black salt to taste

Salt to taste

Chili powder 1/4 tsp

Lime juice 1 tbsp




Preparation:


Boil the sweet potato in hot water till completely cooked, or presser cook for 2-3 wishtles.

Let them cool a bit, remove skin and cut them to bite size pieces.

Place the cut pieces in a serving plate.

Sprinkle some chaat masala, chili powder, salt and black salt on top.

Also add some lime juice over the pieces.

Serve.

This chat is surely a popular one on the streets of Delhi..When we had visited the place, we could find pushcarts selling this chaat..
