Mango Matka Kulfi

Matka kulfi is the traditonal Indian dessert or ice cream made with heavy cream, milk and nuts.

Alternatively these yummy kulfis are available in many flavors like mango, pistachio, cardamom,

rose and many more. This is a very simple yet delicious dessert that all age groups can enjoy.  With

summer just around the corner, mangoes are freshly available in market. Today I will be showing

you a no cook mango kulfi recipe with the ingredients which are easily available in market. I have

used store bought mango pulp here, you can go ahead and use  fresh mangoes if you find them.

This recipe goes to Week 4 Day 1 of Blogging Marathon 133 under the theme " Summer Special -

 Mango".

Ingredients:

Mango puree 1 cup

Whole milk 1 cup

Heavy cream 1 cup

Condenced milk 3/4 cup

Cardamom powder 1 tsp

Coursely ground pistachio 1 tbsp

Coursely ground almonds 1 tbsp

Matka / popsicle moulds

Wooden popsicle sticks

Preparation:

In a blenader add mango pulp, heavy cream, milk, condenced milk and blend until smooth.

Now add cardamom powder, ground pistachio and almonds.

Give it a stir and pour the mixture in matka's or any popsicle moulds.

Cover with alliminium foil or cling wrap.

Now place the popsicle sticks in the centre and freeze for about 7-8 hours.

Place the popsicle moulds or matka under running water to demould the kulfi.

Garnish with some chopped pistachio / almonds / dry  rose petels.

Serve immediately.

Perfect weather for kulfis ! Mango kulfi looks awesome and serving it in a clay pot is a perfect way to serve. I love the earthy aroma of these pots and the flavours derived from them.
