About Me

About Me
Hello there, this is Sushma. I hail from Hyderabad, which is a capital of Telangana one of the southern state in India. Hyderabad was ruled by the Qutub Shahis, Mughals and the Nizams which shaped its history. The city is noted for its monuments which includes the masterpiece of Charminar and the fort of Golconda.Hyderabad is known as the Nizam City because Nizams ruled it. It is also known as City of Pearl because of trading in pearl and diamonds, many of the city s traditional bazaars, including Laad Bazaar, Begum Bazaar and Sultan Bazaar, have remained open for centuries. Hyderabadi Biryani is one of the most popular dishes of the city. It is distinctly different from other variations of the Biryani, originating from the kitchens of the Nizams of Hyderabad. It is a celebration dish of basmati rice and mutton, along with yoghurt, onions and various spices. Coming to me, I am happily married and living with my lovely husband and 2 adorable kids in New Jersey. My Passion for cooking started after marriage. My husband's taste for various cuisines inspired me to try something new in my kitchen. So here I am with some of my moms recipes, some of my own experiments and some traditional food from not only India but all over the World.I believe in " Creating magic with your own hands ". So create that magic by showing some love and interest in what ever you are cooking. My other interests are watching movies, listening to music and recent interest being gardening. I would love to get your feedback, so please try the recipes and leave your lovely comments and suggestions at the bottom of this page.
